I didn't see it coming,
behind every smile,
how was to know ?
were you thinking
or were you planning
or were you waiting
for me to say
stay , or go away?
I don't even think
I know you anymore
it's so easy for you to hide
behind those dark eyes
speak what you want
don't tell me what I want
give me something to mend
so it doesn't have to end.
I don't care what you say
l know you're afraid
but say it today,
I'm not going away...
Wow, I didn't see it coming
that you could be THAT way
the person who would write a note
never looking for a 'maybe'
or a chance to make things right
you gave up without a fight
and I didn't see it coming.
How could I be so naive
you, I wanted to believe
would never say goodbye
you beat me to the finish line
I wish I could have been first
but I hate being the 'bad' one
so now I can feel the 'hurt' one
and write another sad song
and pray that someone else comes along...
